Losing Streak Ends

I knew it was bound to happen eventually because all streaks must come to an end. I've showed a loss or maintained for the last seven weigh ins but today's showed a 0.4 pound gain from last week. I can't say I'm surprised. It was a really stressful week with the local primary election on Tuesday so I missed a few workouts and have been eating out more than usual so I'm glad it was only a 0.4 pound gain.

I've been able to stay in onederland but just barely which is why I haven't sent out invitations to the big onederland dance yet. I want to make sure I'm firmly planted in onederland soil before I go and make a big deal out of it. I've been hovering around that 200 pound line too long and it's stressing me out. I have to get as far away from that line as possible so I'm going to kick it up a notch so I don't have to worry about leaving onederland ever again. I like it here and don't ever want to leave.

I don't plan on doing anything too crazy or different, just increasing the intensity of my workouts and keeping my snacks and treats to a minimum so I can plant my roots in this fertile onederland soil. It's so much better here than on the other side of that line, I never want to leave it again.

It's fall here in the northeast so I'm looking forward to getting out and enjoying the crisp fall air and maybe taking some foliage photos. I hope you all have a great weekend. Anything exciting going on in your neck of the woods?

  1. If you've been eating out more than usual , the tiny gain is most likely water caused by sodium, I'll bet.I don't think you should be too concerned, I bet once you get back into a routine, next week you'll resume your losing streak for sure!Just keep doing what your doing! it's obviously working!

  2. Have you got fall colour in your part of the world? Considering a trip to either Boston or New York :)

  3. I suspect you are here to stay, but I absolutely understand the desire to get as far away from the line as possible. You'll do fine!

  4. hey, all the more reason to throw the party...nothing like pressure to remain where you are right?
    Keep up the good work.

  5. Susan: I'm sure you're right and I just need to get back to the usual routine. It was so much fun seeing a loss every week I almost forgot what it was like to see a gain.

Manuela: We're about 3 weeks away from peak color in central/northern VT and about 4 weeks to peak here in Boston. There are some changing trees but it's just starting. If you decide to visit Boston let me know so I can give you some good local tips and maybe we could even meet up for a quick cup of coffee or something. Enjoy the change of season.

Cammy: You're always right so why do I ever doubt your words of wisdom?

cmoursler: Oh, the pressure, I'm not good with pressure .... sad to say I saw that dreaded 200 number this morning but it won't be around for long. Maybe I should just throw the party for hovering around the 200 pound mark ....

  6. I know what you mean about not wanting to declare it until you are sure you are staying there.

  7. I don't think it will be long before you can have your dance. Don't sweat a bad week, next week will always be better.

  8. I totally understand wanting to get far, far away from that 200 line. You can do it!

I'm not giving up. I was just feeling so frustrated and overwhelmed this am. I have to start pushing myself harder.
