Snow Way!

Snow emergencies were called, kids got out of going to school, businesses shut down and we ended up with a grand total of 1.5" of snow. Yes, that is INCHES not feet. I didn't even have to pick up a shovel. What's going on here? Mother Nature is apparently lost and needs to get a new map or a good GPS.

We desperately need snow up in the mountains of Vermont so I can go snowmobiling this weekend. I'm so jealous of everyone in NJ, PA, MD, DC, NY, CT and R.I.

The winter Olympics in Vancouver start next week and they are scrambling to get the mountains covered since they haven't had nearly enough snow. They shouldn't have to build ski slopes out of cardboard and hay bales.

I think Mother Nature is screwing with us. If you see her, please give her directions to the mountains up north.

  1. Despite the lack of snow, I'm still pretty excited about the Olympics!

  2. I was so disappointed by yesterday's blizzard fake-out! We didn't even come to work in Providence and they shut down our Boston office at noon. For nothing. Now it's sunny and the piddly amount of snow we did get is melted.

I think some people think I'm nuts, but I like an occasional blizzard and was totally psyched for this one.

  3. If I see her, I'll tell her to get her butt out there asap. I have no snow and I'm glad. We've had so much rain. Annoying weather! ;-)

  4. Hi. How dare it snow in the wrong places! The government should be putting in an official complaint. It's just not good enough.

So they're going to be making artifical snow in Vancouver? They could just relocate ...
