Thematic Photographic 86 - Water in any form

ICE, ICE Baby.
Water is such a powerful element that has the ability to sustain us or destroy us. We need water to survive and at the same time we can be destroyed by droughts, floods and powerful rain, ice and snow storms. Our daily lives can be turned upside down because of ice.
My favorite form of water is obviously snow but considering the fact that I was kept off the snowmobile trails this past weekend because of all the rain that promptly turned the trails to ice I decided to enter this week's Thematic Photographic with an icy picture.

  1. I don't like ice.. it just makes me think of winter, and i hate being cold! Snow is pretty, I'll give you that.
Water is not my most favourite thing, unless I'm swimming in it! lol

  6. Ice can be so beautiful and so cruel. In 2008 we had a massive ice storm and are still suffering for it.

  8. Hi - Wow, that weather seems so foreign to us in LA. We're just getting rain and mudslides.

I wanted to reach out to you about our new site, iChange.com. We're looking for a few people to pilot our nutritionist-led support groups and give feedback (for free). Please email me at support@ichange.com if you are interested in learning more. Thanks!

  9. This is such a beautiful capture! I've always loved the majesty of icicles. And their ephemeral nature. They're here one moment, gone the next. Good on you for grabbing this while you could!
