Did you know tulips are official symbol of Istanbul? Yeah it's a little strange. But a few years ago the Istanbul officials (whatever they are called) spent kazillion dollars and planted millions of tulips all over the city. So now every year around April the whole city lights up with tulips... my favorite time of the year...

Love them! I have some parrot tulips in my front garden (lime green/fuschia pink) that are a favourite :)
