Summer Challenge 2010 - Week 1

For all the effort I put in this week I feel like I should have lost at least 10 pounds but we all know that those kind of numbers are unrealistic and usually only happen on those crazy weight loss reality shows. My weight on Monday was 215 and my weight today is 212.3.

I'm happy with the 2.7 pound weight loss since the initial Summer Challenge 2010 weigh in last Monday but, unfortunately, it's a .7 pound gain from last Friday. My weight fluctuates 3-5 pounds during the week so I'm not going to get hung up on the numbers. I've been killing myself at the gym and eating mostly healthy stuff so it is what it is and I'm going to continue what I've been doing and keep the faith that the numbers will continue to go down.

I did have Chinese food and a volcano bowl last night so I'm hoping the gain is due to the alcohol and the sodium and it will come back off quickly.
I can't wait to hear how my fellow challengers did this week and look forward to seeing their progress. This weekend may be tough due to all the holiday BBQs and feasting that goes along with it. Stay strong and remember just because it's there, we don't have to eat it.

I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend. A very special "THANK YOU" to all those who have served and those who are serving our country and keeping us safe. ENJOY!

  3. yeah, sodium. Holy crow...I have never seen so much salt as when I looked at the sodium content in chinese..your probably retaining part of the water table in your area lol.
Next week should be killer on the scale. Keep up the good work.

  5. great job with all your hard work and congrats on your loss. I am sure the sodium definitely had something to do with the fluctuation so I wouldnt worry about it and just keep moving on with the exercise and healthy food. enjoy the weekend!
