Where is the track ?

I can't seem to find the track. How do you stay on track? When I'm following WW and stay within my points, I'm on track; when I'm following Atkins and stay away from carbs, I'm on track; when I'm following OA and stay away from all the white stuff, I'm on track; when I'm following Jenny Craig and eating their prepared food, I'm on track. I've tried all of these things and so many more. I've spent years on track but my track has just been a vicious circle. My track just keeps going round and round. I'm so dizzy I could puke. I've taken the track and it always leads me right back to where I don't want to be. Where is the on-ramp to the track that will finally get me to my destination? What is the destination? Will I ever be happy with my body? Will I continue to struggle with it every single day of my life?

I'm at my highest weight of all time and still can't find the motivation to get serious about losing this weight. What the hell is wrong with me? Will I ever have my "ah hahhhh" moment when I break through whatever is holding me back and be able to lose it and keep it off permanently? What if I can't find the right track?

  1. Honestly, I have no idea what "the track" is. I think part of it is forgetting all the stuff that we've heard about countless diet plans. We need to find what works for us and just eat healthy, natural foods instead of processed junk foods. And getting more exercise is important. But it is SO freaking hard sometimes! I get sick and tired of thinking about my weight constantly. I get tired of fighting this fight on a daily basis. But I have got to do something about my weight now.

I just want you to know that you are not alone. You are not alone with your struggle... and you are not alone with your feelings. We're all struggling and feeling the things that you are.

And we're here for you. We all want to encourage you and inspire you. And we want you to see that we are struggling, too.

I wish you all the best. And I think that blogging about all this stuff and being totally honest about everything is really going to help you. Alot of my weight problem is emotional, and I've found that blogging has helped me to deal with alot of those issues.

  2. I'm just so glad to see you back!

I don't know where the track is, and if I did, I'd probably be too self conscious to run on it. I am completely unqualified to tell you what to do, but I can tell you that making a few small commitments to myself has helped.

    1. I will get on that darn bike for at least 10 minutes EVERY DAY!

    2. If I don't, I will come to my blog and be honest about it.

    3. I will pay attention to EVERYTHING that I put in my mouth. Denial is a lot of what helped me get this heavy.

    4. I will try to remember that I am doing this FOR myself, not TO myself.

It's great to see you back!
